I also read his Codex Alera, and it was good, but I think that Dresden rings a bit truer for me. My husband loved it, but epic fantasy isn't my taste most of the time.<BR/><BR/>Sue! Don't feel guilty! Reading is as much work as pleasure, if not more so. I haven't read all of Harry Dresden yet and I'm currently ready the 'Furies' first book. I can't remember the name of that series. It's not set in the contemporary like Dresden. It is so hard to find time to read.
