I'm a writer, a former e-book editor, and a reviewer. In my past, I've
been a teacher, secretary, short-order cook, radio DJ, librarian and
computer technician. Quite a life I’ve led.
I learned to love reading
and writing at a young age thanks to my father. We spent long hours
together doing crossword puzzles and word games. By the time I was in
junior high, Shakespeare and the Greek tragedies shared book space with
Marguerite Henry, Walter Farley, Robert Heinlein and Carolyn Keene.
While my tastes have grown, my love of a good story hasn't.
I have twenty years experience as a book reviewer specializing in
science fiction, fantasy and romance genres as well as the non-fiction
areas of education, computer science and reference manuals. I've got ten
years experience as an editor and copy editor and have several years
experience as a technical writer, journalist and fiction writer. I have
a Bachelor's degree in education, a Master's in Library Science and have
taught workshops in book repair, library technology, self-editing for
writers, creating cultures for fiction writers, and organizing your life
and work.
When not busy with writing, I can be found puttering around the
kitchen, baking goodies or doing various crafts. I share my home with my
husband, one finicky cat named Pixel who owns us both.
